The Mystery of the Veil: Part 2 - Power
by Ian Michaels
For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
[1 Corinthians 11:10]
In Part 1, we covered the aspect of the glory that YHWH assigns to a woman’s hair. Glory assigned is not glory owned since all glory is YHWH’s and YHWH’s alone. One must willingly return whatever glory is given, otherwise judgment and death will be the result.
I stated the following in Part 1, but it bears repeating here; it is not a light matter when the glory of YHWH is left unguarded. There is a governmental order designed by our Creator and a glory assigned in the chain of command;
-Messiah is the glory of the Father. The Father covers His glory by covering Messiah.
-Man is the glory of Messiah. Messiah covers His glory by covering the Man in Him.
-Woman is the glory of Man. Man is to cover his glory by covering the Woman.
-The Woman’s Hair is the glory of the Woman. The Woman is to cover her glory by covering her hair.
In prayer, when a woman puts a veil upon her hair, she is in essence saying,” I come to my head’s Head with respect for and under his authority.” Doing otherwise, according to YHWH, is to shame her head and give no respect to the governmental order of His design.
Wearing a head covering makes a strong statement, not only to a crooked and wicked generation, but to the angels who understand well the governmental order of YHWH’s design and the need to guard His glory. This is the meaning of the passage “the symbol of power/εξουσιαν/exousian upon her head for the sake of the angels” spoken of in 1 Corinthians 11:10. Angels are motivated to move on behalf of the woman who recognizes the need to guard YHWH’s glory and respect His governmental order.
Fallen angels are also motivated to move on behalf of those who disregard this. Like a shield of power, a simple piece of cloth with no power in and of itself, tells the angels, “I will give respect to the governmental order of YHWH’s design. I will honor my head (husband, father, shepherd) and I will guard the glory that belongs to YHWH and YHWH alone.” Disrespect and dishonor is an open door of access to fallen angels. We are reminded by Paul that it was woman who was deceived (1 Timothy 2:14). Consider also, the fact that witchcraft is primarily a woman’s craft. In the days of Noah, it was the daughters of men who fell prey to the Nephilim (Genesis 6:2) and we are told that as in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the latter days (Luke 17:26).
(The following is an excerpt from another author on this topic)
By willingly wearing a scarf or shawl on her head as a sign of her submission to her godly husband and Abba [Father], the woman is manifesting YHWH’s government on earth. If a woman is a widow, she shows submission to YHWH as her head. She is declaring that she humbly accepts YHWH’s appointed position for her in the Body, just as the Messiyah humbly accepted His appointed position under Abba’s authority. Symbolic acts which man decrees may be of little or no value, but symbolic acts Yahweh decrees are more than mere symbolic acts. YHWH has decreed that believers identify with the Messiyah’s death and resurrection by means of baptism in visible, tangible water. He has decreed that believer’s show Yah’hoshua’s death (1 Cor. 11:26) by means of the visible, tangible bread and cup. He has decreed that man wear a tallit with fringes to serve as a visible reminder of man’s devotion to the Commandments. In a similar way, He has decreed that the woman wear a headcovering to serve as a visible, tangible declaration of YHWH’s authority on earth. It serves as a visible declaration to all the universe of YHWH’s entire system of authority. YHWH has not called upon Messiyah or man to wear a headcovering to demonstrate His divine arrangement of government. He assigns this privilege only to the woman. Watchman Nee writes: “God calls upon the sisters to show this arrangement. It is through the sisters that YHWH’s governmental system is to be displayed.”
When the woman of YHWH understands these marvelous truths, she will not view the headcovering as an annoying inconvenience or legalistic bondage. She will wear it as a badge of her YHWH-given authority, and it will truly become an effective “token of control” and a “means of exercising power” in the spiritual realm as she joyfully moves forward, praying and prophesying with power and authority.

Head Covered Woman
Suiting up for battle
There’s nothing she can’t handle
Dressed to kill she’ll storm the gates of hell
When she prays all heavens angels tower
While fallen angels cower
She’s learned the secret power of the veil
She’s my head covered woman
She knows what she’s doing
It’s more than a fashion
For my head covered woman
She’s my head covered woman
Sweet rose of Sharon
Fairest of 10,000
Is my head covered woman
A glory without covering means judgment
Yet worldly women flaunt it
Unashamedly for all to see
The woman who is wise has understanding
She hides beneath her veiling
A beauty that’s reserved for only me
People stare and wonder
At this agent under cover
What they don’t know is she’s the one who sees
The pattern that is given in His-story
A covering for all glory
‘cuz it belongs to Yah not you or me
